Board of Directors Meeting

Date: January 26, 2009

Site: Residence of Jim Priestley (609 Lamberton Drive)

In attendance:

Dr. Gabriel Kengni, Ariel Winter, Selena Snow, Marilyn Lawlor, Jonathan Fink, Jim Priestley, and Adrian Black

Planning for the March 23 General Meeting
Ariel Winter asked for suggestions on possible speakers for the next general meeting. The Board identified several sources for speakers of interest. These areas of interest were housing code issues (Montgomery County); energy saving topics (PEPCO); and a follow up on past criminal incidents in Kemp Mill.

Public Library
Board Members were asked to attend, if possible, public meetings on the future of the Wheaton Library. Ariel will attend and report back to the community in March.

Transportation
Committee Chairman, Josh Seidemann, requested additional help on the committee. Adrian Black volunteered to assist.

Nominations Committee
Gabriel will ask Alex Stone to serve as the committee chair to identify candidates for the Board positions that will be up for renewal in this coming general meeting.
